The Man Behind The Mask Leads The Race

Joo Won (Gaksital)

The new hero on the block beats the computer hacker turned cyber detective and the cool shoe designer mom-to-be on the ratings game.

"Bridal Mask", which is Joo Won's first solo lead drama, surpassed the cyber crime drama "Ghost" topbilled by So Ji Sub and Kim Sun Ah's romantic comedy drama "I Do, I Do". This young actor, who has debuted only for less than 2 years in the small screen, has proven again that he is indeed lucky in good viewership ratings.

The drama depicts an Imperial police officer who, after the death of his brother and mother, became a civilian hero wearing a bridal mask to hide his identity. The plot is set in the 1930s, during the Japanese imperialism occupation.

Due to high ratings, KBS has officially announced a 4-episode extension for their epic action-adventure drama. It will now conclude its run on August 30.
