Tablets are gaining popularity these days because of its portability and usefulness. You not need to carry heavy books or bring your laptop to check emails. This small device will do. Now, to help you decide as to what tablet suits you, here is the list of top 10 tablets on the market today.


1.       The new iPad. Also known as iPad 3, this tablet is the best on the market to date. It features a dual-core A5X chip and an iOS 5 operating system. However, this tablet has no USB device. It has a long battery life, fast processor, and a thin profile. The highlight of this high-end tablet is its Retina Display.

2.       Google Nexus 7. This 7-inch Android tablet has a 1.3 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, and the first device to run Android Jelly Bean. Nevertheless, it has no 3G support and microSD card slot.

3.      Asus Transformer Prime. This super slim tablet uses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It also has a 10.1-inch IPS display, 8MP camera, and 32GB internal storage. It is the first Android tablet that has upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich. It also has WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB features.

4.   Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. This new Galaxy tab provides a 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 3.15MP rear camera, 1GB RAM, and a quality 10.1-inch display. It is thinner and lighter than iPad 3. It features the Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS.

5.    Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. This portable tablet device is great for checking emails, reading books, and browsing the web. It is a smaller and lighter version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Its operating system is Android 3.1 Honeycomb and can be upgraded to Android 4.0. It is WiFi- and GPS-enabled, with a 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, and USB port.

6.    Asus Eee Pad Slider. This chunky-framed and slightly heavy tablet features a slide-out keyboard and a number of useful apps. It has a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 10.1-inch screen, 1GB RAM, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

7.      Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101. This all-round performance expert tablet has a microSD slot for additional storage. It also features a 5MP rear camera, dual-core Tegra 2 processor, Adobe Flash 10.2 support, and a 10.1-inch display. This economical device is excellent for HD video playback and multitasking.

8.     Apple iPad 2. This high performance tablet has a 9.7-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen multi-touch display with an IPS technology.  It also features a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, multiple language support, and video geotagging.

9.    ASUS Transformer Pad 300. This 10.1-inch Ice Cream Sandwich tablet enables users to work using keyboard, and control the Android tablet with the mouse pad, similarly like any laptop. It features a multi-touch touchpad, USB port, and SD card slot.

10.   Sony Tablet S. This uniquely designed tablet has a Sony PlayStation certification. It has front- and rear-facing cameras as well as infrared sensor and Bluetooth. It also features a 9.4-inch multi-touch display, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS, and 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual core processor. It has applications that access Sony Entertainment Network as well.
